MagangHub 2026 Batch 2 - DNA Sequencing Laboratory Technician

Closed Internship On-site

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of DNA sequencing, from sample reception to primary data processing, ensuring all molecular biology procedures and analytical instruments are operated in accordance with SOPs and quality control. This is a six-month national internship program by KEMENAKER, hosted by IGF (21 Sep 2026 - 20 Mar 2027), with a government-funded stipend, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan coverage, and an official certificate.

Qualification & Requirement

  • S1 (Bachelor's) in Biology
  • Fresh graduate (graduated within the last 1 year), verified via PDDikti
  • Indonesian citizen (WNI) with a valid NIK (KTP)
  • Able to work 5 days/week, on-site in Sleman, Yogyakarta

What you'll learn

  • Good Laboratory Practice and safe laboratory working

Responsible for strengthening, integrating, and maintaining the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software used to manage the laboratory's operational data. Qualification & Requirement

  • D4 (Diploma) or S1 (Bachelor's) in Software Engineering (TRPL), Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering

Junior Bioinformatician (Paid Intern)

Join IGF as a paid bioinformatics intern and work directly with high-throughput sequencing technologies (PromethION, Revio) at the Faculty of Biology, UGM. You will process real NGS datasets, collaborate with wet-lab researchers and clients, and build skills in state-of-the-art genomics workflows.

Qualification & Requirement

  • Final-year Student or Fresh Graduate in a Life Science field (Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, etc.)
  • Curious and passionate about bioinformatics & genomics
  • Familiar with basic UNIX and coding/scripting (Python / R)
  • Eager to learn real-world NGS analysis workflows (ONT / PacBio)
